OpenTrust CMS Client is a desktop companion application that connects your workstation to an organization’s OpenTrust credential management system. It provides a secure, user-friendly interface for issuing, using, and maintaining hardware- or software-based credentials—such as smart cards and USB tokens. The client streamlines certificate enrollment and renewal, supports PIN management (set, change, and unblock), and helps initialize and manage tokens so users can authenticate securely, sign documents and email, and access VPNs. It works with centrally defined policies and keeps users informed about credential status and upcoming expirations.

Key capabilities:

  • Guided, self-service workflows for certificate enrollment and renewal (as permitted by policy)
  • PIN and PUK management, including change and unblock actions
  • Support for common smart cards, USB tokens, and software keystores, depending on configuration
  • Integration with system cryptographic providers to enable secure logon, digital signing, and email encryption
  • Notifications and clear status indicators to reduce credential-related disruptions

Availability, supported devices, and specific features may vary by deployment; contact your administrator for details.
